Six of Cups

We can gain a lot from exploring our past, dedicating a time to honestly reflect upon our personal history and experiences. Not in a melancholy or indulgent way, but with the intent to bring deeper understanding, a transformative process that can bring renewed perspective and healing.

Astrologically the Six of Cups is Sun in Scorpio, and there couldn’t be a more befitting correspondence for today’s important message. For Scorpio is a water sign, so adaptable and sensitive, accompanied with the transformative, driven and strong-willed nature of this passionate sign. Astrologically a sign that is known for getting the job done, qualities and traits that you are invited to explore and embrace today.

Traditionally the Six of Cups is a card of childhood and nostalgia, an idyllic scene of two children exchanging a gift, a light and joyful card, but there is a deeper dimension to this sentimental card. Sadly, many have been forced to close the door upon their past, draw a firm line under their trauma, individuals who have worked incredibly hard to turn their back upon their pain to move positively forward.

If this describes your experience, then the card is reaching out to offer understanding and admiration, acknowledging your strengths and life-changing journey. For those who are wishing to confront their troubled past, then you’re reminded of your abilities to overcome life’s difficulties and challenges.

There is a powerful gift in today’s message, within this lovely card, we see an exchange of lilies, a symbol of death and rebirth. Allow yourself to reconcile and heal from your past, a spiritual calling to surrender memories and issues that are holding you back.

Give yourself permission to reflect upon your past through the wisdom of your present understanding. As the old saying goes, “where there’s a will, there’s a way”, for we should never allow our past to negatively influence or control our present state and wellbeing.
